Key Questions about Virtual Physio

No. There is no need to visit your GP for a referral.

You’ll be with your physio for about 30 minutes.

Yes, we will let you know if we feel that your condition requires an in-person assessment or treatment. All the Physios are experienced clinicians and will be able to assess if an injury requires face-to-face investigation.

At the end of your first session your Physio will explain your treatment plan and how many sessions you might need, and this will be reviewed as treatment continues. Your physiotherapist will also be able to book your next appointment for you at the end of your appointment.

Your physiotherapist will ask you a number of questions about the issue you are experiencing and how it occurred and has progressed. From there, they will likely ask you to complete some simple movements to further assess you.

With this information the physiotherapist will then provide you with a tailored treatment plan to help you to recover, this may include the use of our online exercise platform which provides videos and descriptions of your rehab plan.

The good news is that you don’t need any fitness or specialist physiotherapy equipment. Your Physio will be able to design your programme around whatever you have available at home.

We’d also suggest you have plenty of free space around you and to wear comfortable loose-fitting clothes, as your Physio may need to observe you while you perform some simple movements or exercises.

You will need to be able to take part in a video call, so you’ll need a computer, tablet or phone, and a stable internet connection.
